By now, you’ve probably tried your hand at a few AI content platforms.

Sure, everyone is talking about ChatGPT, but have you tried the other tools on the market? (LOTS of them are out there, and more are emerging by the day. It can get overwhelming. 😓)

With this ever-growing array of tools at our fingertips, it can be challenging to find the gems, let alone choose the right solution for your needs.

That’s why in this blog post + video, we will delve into two popular AI-driven solutions: ChatGPT by OpenAI and Content at Scale.

Mainly, I want to show you that ChatGPT isn’t the only solution for AI writing. Instead, it might be best reserved for specific use cases, like producing short copy. Meanwhile, tools like Content at Scale are ace at serving your long-form content needs. 🏆

By the end of this post, you’ll have complete knowledge of these AI content tools and how they can come to your aid in ways you never imagined.

Watch Me Compare + Contrast Two AI Content Platforms

ChatGPT vs. Content at Scale Overview

In the realm of AI-driven content platforms, it’s paramount to choose the right tool for your needs.

In this section, we’ll explore two popular options: ChatGPT and Content at Scale.

Both tools have their unique strengths and serve different purposes in terms of content production:

  • ChatGPT is a generalized tool for short-form content.
  • Content at Scale is specifically built for long-form SEO blogging.

Let’s compare and contrast them. ⚖️

Generalized AI Tools vs. Specialized AI Tools

The primary difference between these two platforms lies in their specialization levels.

  • Generalized AI tools like ChatGPT are designed to handle various tasks, making them versatile but potentially less focused on specific use cases such as long-form blog creation or SEO optimization.
  • In contrast, specialized AI tools like Content at Scale focus solely on one particular task — in this case, creating optimized long-form blogs that rank well on search engines like Google.

Short-Form Content Generation with ChatGPT

ChatGPT Pro is one of the only tools I use for short-form AI content creation. It’s really good.

  • Versatility: As a generalized platform, ChatGPT can create an array of short-form content types such as social media posts, email drafts, ad copywriting ideas, or even brainstorming sessions.
  • Natural language understanding: The chatbot uses OpenAI’s advanced language model, GPT-4, which is known for its human-like text generation capabilities that easily fool over 63% of us.
  • Ease-of-use: With its simple interface and easy-to-follow prompts setup process, it’s accessible even to non-experts.

Long-Form SEO Blogging Using Content at Scale

In turn, Content at Scale is the ONLY AI tool I use for long-form SEO blog generation. I may be slightly biased, but it continually blows me away.

  • SEO optimization: Content at Scale is designed to produce long-form blog posts that are optimized for search engines, ensuring higher rankings and better visibility.
  • Data-driven approach: It uses a data-driven methodology to create content based on the most relevant keywords and phrases related to your niche or industry.
  • Built-in analytics & reporting: The platform offers built-in optimization tools and features that help you create content that will perform well in the SERPs (search engine results pages).

Moving on, let’s compare whether you can use both tools to generate blog posts.

Head-to-Head Faceoff: Can You Generate Blog Posts with Both AI Content Platforms?

In this section, we’ll compare how ChatGPT and Content at Scale perform when tasked with generating blog posts based on given keywords or URLs.

We’ll also talk about the process involved in generating long-form blogs using both tools, and analyze their output quality.

Do they match up? Let’s find out…

Using Keywords or URLs as Input Sources

Both ChatGPT and Content at Scale allow users to input either keywords or URLs as sources for content generation.

With ChatGPT, you can provide a list of keywords that serve as prompts for the AI model to create short pieces of content around those topics.

Here, I prompted the bot to “Write a 1,000-word blog post to rank for the keyword ‘positive reinforcement for dogs.’”

It only produced 600 words, by the way. When I prompted it to continue, it still ended up producing less than 800 words, in total.

On the other hand, Content at Scale uses your chosen keyword(s) or URL(s) to produce more detailed and comprehensive long-form articles tailored specifically for SEO.

Here, I created a nearly-2,500-word blog post in Content at Scale, complete with an SEO-approved structure and headings, just by giving it a keyword and some context about what I wanted it to write:

You also don’t have to copy and paste Content at Scale’s output to another editor. It has a built-in editor so you can tweak the output right in the tool. You can also highlight any bit of text you want and select the Rewrite option, and CAS will rewrite it.

Time Taken by Both AI Writing Tools to Produce Results

The time taken by each tool varies depending on factors such as word count, the complexity of the topic, and server load.

In general, ChatGPT generates shorter pieces relatively quickly but may require multiple iterations if you need longer content.

Conversely, Content at Scale takes slightly longer due to its focus on creating well-researched, long-form articles optimized for search engines.

  • ChatGPT: Quick turnaround time best for short pieces (e.g., social media captions, short copy like CTAs or headlines).
  • Content at Scale: Longer processing times (usually 5ish minutes) ideal for producing in-depth articles (e.g., SEO-optimized blog posts).

Comparing Generated Outputs from Both Platforms

To evaluate the quality of content generated by both platforms, let’s consider a few key factors:

  1. Relevance: How well does the content address the given topic or keyword(s)?
  2. Structure: Is the content organized logically and easy to follow?
  3. Originality: Does the output provide unique insights or simply rehash existing information?

In terms of relevance, both ChatGPT and Content at Scale deliver accurate results based on input keywords. However, due to its specialization in long-form SEO blogging, Content at Scale tends to produce more comprehensive articles with better structure.

When it comes to originality, ChatGPT can generate creative ideas but may lack depth for longer pieces. On the other hand, Content at Scale excels in producing detailed and informative blog posts that are tailored specifically for your target audience.

ChatGPT excels at short content and displays some creativity.

In summary, while both tools have their strengths when generating blog posts based on given keywords or URLs, you should choose between them depending on your specific needs – whether you need short-form content generation with ChatGPT or long-form SEO blogging using Content at Scale.

Using both tools to generate blog posts can help you create engaging content quickly and optimize your content marketing efforts.

With ChatGPT’s strategy-building capabilities and Content at Scale’s optimization score features, you’ll be able to take your content marketing efforts to the next level.
