A stranger recently asked me what I do for a living. I told him, “I’m a writer and editor, and I do some sales consulting, what about you?”
He told me, “I…I also write. But really, I am a <insert professional job title here>.”
He stopped for a moment, and explained that he had never heard anyone be so confident about being a writer before.
