Forget writing well. Just write, before it gets away. While different people have different writing styles, I find it best to build now and polish later. Neil was speaking about his writing style and quoted Pablo Picasso: “Inspiration exists, but it has to find us working.” Much better. You won’t.

So when it hit me, I did – and here’s her post on how to be a better writer – fast. She told me that my writing style had really improved over the past couple of years. You can’t even assume that your writing gets steadily and constantly better over time. That surprised me. We chew pencils.

Guest poster Chris Birk did a good job recently of describing how a writer feels when a guest post is accepted but has not yet been published.
