He was also inducted into the University of North Texas Athletic Department Hall of Fame, the Texas Baseball Ex-Pro’s Baseball Hall of Fame, the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Hall of Fame, and the University of Texas-Dallas Athletic Department Hall of Honor.
